Confident Rankin confident to win Ladbrokes Irish Greyhound Derby Round 4 Heat 2

McKenna trained black dog, Confident Rankin, who is now quite confident to clinch top spot in the Ladbrokes Irish Greyhound Derby Round 4 Heat 2 that will be held at Shelbourne Park on Saturday night, August 25.
The open race over 550 yards contains €250 in the prize purse. After breaking the black box, the two-year-old young hound will compete against four worthy rivals.

The talented son of Premier Fantasy out of Swift Rush broke his maiden with a 9-lenght victory on January 1. This successful start of the new year proved to be good omen for him as he went on to win three more races during the first couple of months.

Confident Rankin’s peak point came in the month of June when he accomplished three classic conquests in a row. All were the OR events.
After winning the Shelbourne Open 525 on July 7, the maverick sprinter again claimed three tremendous triumphs during the first twenty days of August.
These impressive stats are sufficient to believe that Confident Rankin will be able to thrive emphatically in tonight’s marathon. From the opposition camp, only Sawpit Sensation looks to be somewhat strong.
The D. Hunt trained black dog set a sterling success by winning five races in a row from May 28 to July 10. He grabbed another grand victory in the 2012 Ladbrokes Irish Greyhound Derby Round 1 Heat 13, held on August 2.
