Conflict in Iran and Iraq?

Question

What is the reason behind both? Is the conflict in Iran the one with the Shiah's and s**+'ite's? And did the US only attack Iraq because of WMD? Please don't post any wikipedia thing here, if I wanted that, I could just google it. I just want to understand the difference between the two, and what caused the conflict in the two countries.

iraq was a police action. it is the us wanting to police the world and make it safer through american, canadian, and british lives. iran is another police action which israel has started and wants our help to bail them out. neither country has the might to pose any severe threat to this country. the whole concept is a money pit, mainly to help and enrichen the profiteering companies like haliburton.

If i recall correctly the United States was arming both sides back in the 1980's and it was an ugly mess.  Of course Russia had its own armaments in it as well.  Why we invaded Iraq a second time I think is more than just for the WMD's  Many wanted to take out Saddam.  It is unfortunate.  I have found evidence that The first Bush administration encouraged him to invade Kuwait.  Then turn around and make him the fall guy.  I really think the Two Bush Presidents should be put on trial in some international court for the mess that they have made in the middle east.
