A conflict perspective would look at how minorities, women, and the poor are being exploited and treated badly, which influences their entire life course and leaves them at a huge disadvantage socially. The people in power intentionally keep the others down to retain their status. Conflict theorists are very cynical of those in positions of power or privilege.
