Okay, so last night at around 8 p.m. I tested with an OPK and got a complete negative. I hadn't been to bed, so I decided to test again at around 1:30 a.m and a faint second line appeared. I am supposed to be ovulating today. Does that mean the second test was positive?

  1. no unless the line was as dark or darker than the control line then it still isnt a positive

  2. the line needs to as dark or darker than the control line.

  3. listen, i was taking those tests too when i was ttc. my opk was negative. decided to have s*x that night anyway. and got pregnant. so i wonder how accurate those tests are.

  4. Usually when the second line is darker.  Read the directions.  I use the digital ones.  They're expensive but SOO much easier to read.  When you get a positive result it means your at your fertile peak and you'll ovulate 24-48 hours after a positive result.  You want to baby dance 1-2 days before you ovulate...meaning when you get the pos. result.  Also baby dance the day you ovulate and two days after just in case.  Good Luck to you!

  5. If the test line was not as dark or darker then no.  On some test they say if half of the test line is as dark as the control line, then its considered positive, but I agree with the digital test are expensive, but much easier to use. Also, are you holding your urine for a few hours like you are supposed to?
