I'm reading alot of the questions on here. I just ovulated last friday, and I am TTC... month #1. From what I've read, implantation doesn't occur til 10 -14 days after ovulation. Well, my perod will be due then... And then I'd figurively miss it if I am, and know I'm pregnant. But my question is, if implantation doesn't occur til that much longer after ovulation, how can you possible have pregnancy symptoms before it's time for your period?

  1. Ovulation only happens for 2-3 days. If you dont have a sperm meet those eggs then then absorb and you have your period. If you had s*x on your ovulation days then more then likely you are preg! A hpt or blood work a few days before your period date or anytime after will reveal if you are def preg or not. I hope this helps and best of luck! :)

  2. I'm so glad someone else has asked this cos I've wondered it myself!! And after having some people leave rude remarks I'm tired of asking what I worry are silly questions

***Just thinking now... although your body doesn't make hcg til implantation it maybe releases something else to make the "early pregnancy signs" that people talk of???

  3. No, implantation can happen before 10-14 days after ovulation. I am TTC as well and I believe that I felt the implantation and it was at around 7 days. I believe that it can happen anywhere between 5-10 days after ovulation.

  4. Implantation actually occurs 7-10 days past fertilization.  A luteal phase (number of days past ovulation) that is 10 days or less means your body does not give the fertilized egg enough time to implant.  Once the egg is implanted then your body will know not start your period.  I hope this helps.
