I am getting admission for masters of accounting (professional-2 years course) in these 3 universities...........

1) Queensland university of Technology (QUT) - Brisbane

2) University of Wollongong - Wollongong, near Sydney-1.5 hours drive

3) University of South Australia - Adelaide

Please tell me which one is the best to go for in concern with my Job prospects after graduating from the university(reputation of uni. among employers, best course structure, etc), Campus life(campus location, facilities-sports, events etc.) and City life(cost of living, enjoyment-nightlife, safety, racism, etc). See there are a few things that are bothering me............please correct me if i am wrong......

  1. Cheapest does not necessarily mean the best. In fact, it can be the opposite.

After choosing a university by its reputation, you must next ask "How does it conduct its courses? Is the way it conducts courses correct for you? Do you have time to study after all the assignments? Do you have time to do research?"

I once went to a university and all they emphasised was "assignments. Programming assignments," and no more. In the end, all of us learnt nothing from it.

You need to know how it conducts its course to see if it suits you.

  2. I would choose QUT in Brisbane as it has the best reputation, offers greater opportunities in all areas (as it’s the largest city of the three), and has the best weather.  But, that’s just my opinion, ok reputation and being large are facts, but what it comes down to is what do you need most.

I see you’ve done a bit of research which is great.  Now to put your own pros and cons together.  Make a priority list of things that are important through to desirable and finally unimportant.  Then see how each uni matches up with those items.

From reading your entry, Brisbane offers more of what you’re after with work, accommodation, quality of teaching, university experience, access to industry, etc.

    I hope this helps.
