Confused about Clairvoyance...?

Question

I've been to three mediums over the past couple of years and each one has told me I am/will become "Clairvoyant". The last medium I went to told me I would develop "Clairvoyance" when I'm around 30-31, I am now 20. She said I will be able to see spirits in colour and that she could only see them in black and white. She also said that I am (a little unsure about this word) sensient?? In that I can sense people's moods/emotions easily. At the moment I do not see spirits at all although I have had several dreams in which I've received messages from deceased relatives and sometimes I feel I can sense a presence when I am alone. I'm confused and a little worried because to be honest if I did start seeing things I think I'd be rather scared and I thought that you had to be born with this ability...not suddenly develop it???

Clairvoyance is a blanket term for a broad range of psi abilities which include psychometry, remote viewing, and some kinds of precognitive/postcognitive abilities.

The US Military and CIA were exploring remote viewing training in the 1970's and into the 1990's, when the program was shut down because it (and I quote): "had no operational value" for the intelligence community, because it didn't exist, in spite of a significant amount of data to the contrary.

If your goal is to develop clairvoyance, might I suggest the following?

A lot of people think that everyone is born with the gift of being able to communicate with spirits (I believe that). Most people just choose to ignore the signs. Since you've already had dreams that tell you things, she thinks you have the gift.

Maybe she meant that some event would happen in your life that would open your eyes to the spirit world and you'd develop your gift even more at that time.

I've wanted to go to a medium for the longest time, but am having problems finding a reliable one in my area. I just don't want to get jipped.

many people that have some kind of trauma or a near death experience (claim to have died and come back) say that shortly after, they begin to have psychic abilities, premonitions and what not. so not everyone is born with the "gift"

by the way, i'm not discerditing anyone who has ever had a near death experience, far be it for me to judge them and what they have seen and experienced.

i'm very opened minded to the paranormal, although it would scare the sh*t out of me to see a ghost/spirit, i still very much believe in them. the universe is full of unexplained mysteries & surprises that have not been uncovered.

It could be very true.  Yes usually we are born with the gift.  But you can access it if you want to.  Ive heard that if you arent born with it that sometimes later open it unknowingly when they age older.  Thats how lots of older age people realize spirits are real and they could even become amazing psychics!  Thats what I have heard and believe.
