Confused about Twilight Movie release...???

Question

I know that the NEW release date is November 21 in North America.

So, this is where the part that confuses me.

I've researched on the internet about the international release dates of the movie.

I've found that the Philippines have it November 20, apparently ahead of the US and all the others.

Why is that? Not that I'm complaining or anything...I'm just curious why.

The Philippines are 10 hours ahead of us so I would suppose that is why their open date is ahead of ours, it would actually be the same day. Or it could just be a typo.

I dont think that is true or its only true because of the time difference. its being released on nov. 21 all over the world.

I heard that Twilight was being released in America on December 12th.

im from the philippines and in the twilight coven blog spot it says

We would like to clarify that Twilight Coven Philippines did not decide to release "Twilight" one day earlier in the Philippines -- no fan community has that power. It is the decision of the local distributor of the film. We're just relaying the information for all the Filipino Twilighters out there.

Also, instances of movies being released here [philippines] earlier than in North America are not entirely new. It has happened for many movies in the past (even for a movie like "Harry Potter") because our theaters generally open new movies on Wednesdays, and not Fridays like in the U.S. Recently, most local distributors opt to open 1-2 days earlier or "day and date" (same date) of the North American release.

I don't know, perhaps they got special permission, or maybe they're releasing it early simply to cause Fan Havoc. It could just be a type error, typing 20 instead of 21. That's where the premiere might be, too, ya never know. A time difference, maybe.

Either way, just a simple day, so I wouldn't care.

that's really weird... i hadn't noticed that before. I'm not sure why they would do that. haha. we should ALL fly to the Phillipines to see it a day early!

obviously someone put the wrong date down because these are the correct release dates and it says that it's coming out in Canada and USA first, it's not coming out in the Philippines until the 8th of January
