Confused about buying goggles!?

I'm on the swim team at my high school & my goggles just snapped, so I am on the search! There are so many possibilities I don't understand which would be best for me. What's the difference between Performance and Active goggles? So would anyone like to recommend models/ brands? :]

Thanks!

  1. Speedo Vanquisher is a very good brand, they don't fall off, and they have anti-fog protection, that actually works!!! They can range from $14-$20 depending on wear you buy them. Speedo is the best brand for goggles!

Sorry about your goggles, that stinks!

  2. Performance means that they're designed for competition and the active goggles are for things like triathalons so I would recommend getting the performance googles if you get any special pair.

As for brands and models I'm not specifically familiar with models but I've had good goggles from TYR before, they stayed fog-free for a long time and they were slightly tinted so they were a nice pair. I also had an Arena pair which lasted for a while but those eventually broke and both my practice and racing goggles now are both Speedo so I would recommend any of those 3.

  3. speedo are really nice. the nosepiece also matters, adjustable nosepieces break easily, snap on and off pieces work really nice

  4. I've always had very good luck with: Speedo Vanquisher. They look cool and are relatively inexpensive :14$. and very good quailty.... Bad thing though. make sure no one steals them, it sucks when thier suddenly missing.

  5. you should buy speedsocket from speedo...for competitions only
