Confused about layered hairstyles?!?

Question

i get alot of people telling me to get my hair layered when i ask them what hairstyle i should get, and i was just wondering how a layered hairstyle looks like on a guy? is it just like, one hairstyle, and can i just go to the hairdressers and say "I would like to get my hair layered" and thats it? or do I have to give instructions? if so, then what sort of instructions?

and someone told me it looks like that person got it layered, if so, then what should i tell the hairdresser?

bring in a picture

just bring the photo and ask for it.

you should just bring that picture to the hairdresser and say you want it like that and yes you can just tell the hairdresser you want layers :)

You should bring the picture into your hairstylist and then they will know exactly what you want
