Ok so im currently a business management student, i really like this career but i just dont think i want to do this for the rest of my life. I always wanted to have a career in whichi ill get to help people, such as human resourses, psychology, or something in the medical field. I know u'll say that i should change careers, but im on my second year of college, i have already put a lot of effort, money and time i dont want to throw it all away.

I just want to know, do any of u feel that u've made a wrong career choice?

  2. Human resources is usually part of the business school offerings, and you have not wasted the work you already put in.  What you have can be your electives (I think some business courses are good for everyone).  You can go for another degree very easily beginning in the spring semester.  I would look at HR as a degree if your college offers that option, or create your own, again if that options exists.  You can combine HR and healthcare--in fact there is a need for HR professionals in all aspects of the industry.  You might also consider social work--you might need a masters to get the best jobs but again, there is a very high need.

Do NOT go along this path because you feel you are too far in.  People change their majors ALL the time!  See a counselor today and plan changes with that person's guidance.  Good luck!  There may even be scholarships in the healthcare/social work area.
