It's a sentence about Stock Exchange.

Today [Friday], we're kind of l*****g our wounds. Yesterday, was a very heavy volume day. Today, we're just looking to get out of here. We're basically just looking to coast out of here on a quiet afternoon.

Q1: we're just looking to get out of here. What it means?

Q2: We're basically just looking to coast out of here. What it means?

Thanks!

  1. We are finishing up from yesterday. Yesterday we had a lot of business. We are hoping there will be no problems today.

  2. Today is Friday, and we are suffering a bit, yesterday we had a big business day. Today is really slow and we are looking forward to going home.

  3. looking to get out of here means, trying to leave.

and to coast out of here means, to slowly leave, almost disappearing because if you were to coast you'd simply be floating along on a boat.

    if that makes anymore sense?

  4. I would interpret as follows

Q1 " We are just waiting for closing time in order to leave work "

Q2 " We are hoping to reach closing time without any more problems "
