So I had a d&c on June 26th. With dr's permission we started trying again on July 1st and have been trying everyday since then. I had a blighted ovum and the dr said it would be fine to get pregnant this fast. He said there was a good possibility that I could get pregnant in the first two weeks after the d&c. So here is my question yesterday the 26th exactly one month after the d&c I started to bleed really lightly. Its not even enough to fill one side of a tampon (tmi sorry) it is still really really light this morning. Is this implantation bleeding or is it my period. The only symptom I have is peeing alot more than usual which is the only symptom i had last time as well. I know you guys arent dr's but just wanted to here some of your thoughts and if it is implantation and stops soon when can I expect a positive HPT

  1. I wouldnt hold high hopes for implantation bleeding, this is very rare and not always a good sign.  Bleeding in early pregnancy implantation or not is called a threatened miscarriage.  I would say that it is most likely something called breakthrough bleeding which can happen on and off after a d&c for months until you sustain the correct hormones to get your cycle back to normal.  Also implanation bleeding is nearly always brown as it is old blood, any blood that is red or pink in colour should not be looked at as implantation bleeding.  However if it was implantation bleeding you should be able to get a true result within a week of when it first started.  True implanation bleeding shows as a very early period, normally about 9 to 12 days post ovulation.

Good Luck on that BFP and sorry for your loss.

  2. you should be able to tell one week after implantation bleeding!  good luck
