I am so confused wit the whereabouts of my future. I'm so confused at what I'm doing and I have no help. Right now I have a communications major, but i dont know if that will fit me well. I want to do nursing or something in the medical field (sounds highly interesting, i wanna make a difference and good pay) but I can't bear seeing people bleeding or hurt. I feel like I don't have any knowledge on what medical jobs are out there that do not involve dealing with people and injuries.

  1. Nurses aren't paid that much. My parents are and they are far from rich...They are LPN's

  2. Have you tried talking to the counselors at your school? They might be helpful. The ones at my school are not very helpful but I have heard that most schools, especially larger ones, have really good counseling departments that can help steer you in the direction you want to go based on your interests, talents, etc. If not, don't worry about it yet. Take classes that sound interesting and do a TON of exploring. You will find options that interest you, both within and outside of the medical field.

Just one suggestion...maybe you could design medical equipment or be an engineer for medical purposes? You would be making a difference, you would be involved in medicine, and you wouldn't have to be up close and personal with severely injured patients.

Don't worry if you are still lost, that is what your first year in college is for pretty much. Just explore, have a good time, and continue to branch out and decide your options. :)

  3. you can go in to psychology
