Ok. OBGYN told me last week that he thinks that I had a chemical pregnancy even though I had NO cramps and had medium bleeding for only 3 days (normally its 5-6 days). I really dont think that I m/c. I had gotten a FAINT FAINT + awhile back b4 I had the 3 day "bleeding". Well, since then, I remember I was throwing up alot and feeling crappy 1st wk in June. I had thought it was from being in the sun too much, but I was hydrated, so I just didnt think anything else about it. My abdomen and pelvic area have been feeling crampy, there's tugging and "pressure". My b***s feel heavy and I can barely wear my jeans, but have only gained no more than 5 lbs. I just found online that you can have areas of dry skin. I've had a spot on my chin for a couple of mnths that wont go away, not even with cream. When it doesnt look "white" it is light brown......

Now, the OBGYN that I had seen is male, he was 1 hr behind his schedule and was "rushing". I'm really starting to believe that I might just be pr

  1. I think he's probably right. The hormones that are in your system after a pregnancy (no matter how short) linger in your system.

  2. What makes him think that you had a chemical pregnancy?  Just the bleeding?  I had spotting while pregnant and have a beautiful 4 year old girl.

Have you had a blood test done?  If not, have a blood test for HCG levels performed.  Have it done 2 or 3 days later.  If they are doubling, then you are more than likely pregnant.  If they are not doubling, then you probably are having or had a miscarriage or chemical pregnancy.

Also, you can ask for an ultrasound to see if they can see a sac or a fetal pole or a fetus or SOMETHING!

If you don't feel like you got what you wanted (time, compassion, whatever) then it is your right to go somewhere else, or if it is a group practice, to ask for someone else.

    Good luck!
