Confused what is acceptable???

Im confused , i have been given advice from guidelines on what cant be sent to squaddies . They say offensive or indecient material cant be sent as in "top shelf".Which i wasnt gona send anyway but what is the likes of "zoo" and "nuts" classed as as i havent got a clue but have seen them on TV, As i dont want my parcel being ransacked for a magazine just wana send somthing 2 read

Magazines such as those are acceptable as they're not classed as top shelf matieral, I'm sure you'd be fine sending them.

nuts and zoo send stuff out there, and you can buy them in the EFI, so it's ok.

You can not send any p**n period...

No Naked Bodies...period...

No Booze...

No Pork or anything with Pork in it...

No Liquids...

No Glass containors...

Nothing Homemade...It is 140 over there it will be rotten before they get it.

Chocolate will be soup...

No pressurized containors...

Remember you have to fill out and sign a US Customs Form

Sorry but boll*x to what you have and haven't been told, if you feel comfortable sending it and your man has asked for it..... send it !! just be aware of the weight though !

When i was sending comfort boxes to my man in Iraq i put every thing and any thing in there ! In 1 parcel i even put in a blow up pig Lol as a joke and i think he is still in iraq now as a mascot.......

I put in FHM, Zoo, Nuts erm haribo sweets or as the guys call them moralibo... pics of me (some naked) pics of our home the dog, little gifts like board games, computer games, decks of cards, footballs the list goes on (when i think of how much i spent in that 7 months haha it brings tears to my eyes AND it was before free postage)

Honestly don't worry none of my boxes EVER got ransacked and they all got to him in one piece too, some took a week to get there some 4 weeks but they do get them eventually.

Nuts and zoo are not topshelf ,but they do contain b***s,bad language and such like.

You cant send them if they are in religious/muslim countries such as Iraq.that are against it.my partner was a squaddie and some boxes didn't get to him..they check the boxes so be careful !

basically its anything that can offend people where they are based

ie any kind of magazine with scantilly clad females, bad language

etc etc

bear in mind that females showing arms etc is a no no

i know our lads over there will love top shelf stuff but dont send it.

they are there short term and will have to do without.

My wife sent me magazines all the time, Nuts and Zoo, although riske are not p**n which is what they are on about! They rarely check the contents of packages anyway, think about it, there are thousands of parcels coming through every day. Just send 'em out regardless, these packages mean so much to the boys. In fact even if you don't have anyone serving out there send something out to a serving soldier because they appreciate it more than you will ever know!
