here it goes ... the itinerary says that the flight is northwest # x*x but just under that says operated by southwest # x*x (changed the names of the airlines, im weird like that). Then i got after i got the tickets in the mail northwest is on the ticket not southwest. to top it all off the terminals are different for the two airlines. It's probably nothing since ill have 4 hours in between flights (its a connection flight im concerned about) to figure out where to go, but its bothering me so i hadda ask HEELLLLPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. The "operated by" airline is the key to any codeshare.  Though one airline sold you the ticket (that is, the one whose flight number appears on the ticket), you're actually traveling with the airline who is operating the flight for that leg.  If that flight is the first leg, you will check in with that airline, and not the one from whom you purchased the ticket.

  2. The record locator or confirmation number is ther key. Call Northwest airlines and ask since it is ticketed on their stock. most likely you'll be on Southwest, but as you can see, things change. Sometimes airlines codeshare as a way of offering flights to areas the airline doesn't serve but when ticketed on their stock they get a fee anyway. Always check with the airlines and ask to be sure. Good luck and it seems you have plenty of time to connect, no worries.
