Find the slope and y-intercept of the line

y=-6/7x-9/5

  1. Don't let the fractions confuse you. The way to find a y intercept stays the same meaning that you turn the other number into zero leaving you with y=-9/5


  2. An equation of a line can be written as

    y = Mx + C

    where M is the slope and C is the y-intercept

    Thus, the slope is -6/7 and the y-intercept is -9/5

  3. It's the same as if you didn't have fractions.  Y=MX+B.  The Y intercept is B...  in this case -9/5
