Confused!Is this a miscarriage?

This is the scenario: A girl who has been told she was close to a miscarriage, who is 10 weeks pregnant has bad pelvic pain and cramping for 2 weeks straight. One day she spots, (wiped herself and saw blood) red blood. Cramps persist.

Then she starts bleeding for the next 4 days it goes up and down in intensity. At times light and at times heavy. Cramping persists. Pregnancy symptoms start decreasing. The 5th day she starts bleeding heavier and the cramps are much worse, she passes chunks of blood, or blood clots. On the 6th day there is light bleeding with cramping as it has been. On the night of this 6th day, the bleeding stops while the cramps persist. On the 7th day there is slight cramping and no bleeding.

So why did she stop bleeding? does this mean the miscarriage has happened and is now completed, or rather does it mean it is not going to happen? In other words, is she somehow all of a sudden out of the clear and the miscarriage just stopped and the baby is ok or simply did the miscarriage finish and run its course? Or is there more bleeding to come?

Im only confused because she is 10 weeks and I would think she would bleed for more than at least 6 days. Then again she is a very small girl at 5'0 100 pounds. How do you know if the blood clots are part of the baby? at 10 weeks how big would the clots be? she said they weren't too big. also i just find it weird that she would just.... not bleed anymore all of a sudden and decrease cramping drastically. Also do blood clots necessarily mean it is part of the baby?

I guess i just wanna hear what some experienced women and helpful people have to say. I apologize ahead of time for posting so much. Thank you and god bless.

  1. Ok, this is the 5894359034850th time.

Bleeding during pregnancy can be normal, if it is very very light.

    Passing clots is NOT.

PLEASE TAKE YOUR GIRLFRIEND TO THE HOSPITAL.

SHE IS PASSING CLOTS. THAT IS DANGEROUS.

  2. this most likely is a miscarriage. you only bleed during pregnancy if you have one and it could be that she is bleeding out the baby. definately go see a doctor. im so sorry:(

my prayers will go out to her.

  3. It sounds like a miscarriage to me. The only way to find out is to go to the doctor. She needs to know what is happening to her body and her baby...
