  1. A.  15 g x .58 = 8.7g of gold

    B.  1.068g is X% of 1.256; divide both sides by 1.256

    1.068/1,256 = 85.03%

    C.  More information is needed..  In order to find the percentage, you need to know how much was lost.

  2. A)

    0.58 = x / 15g

    x = 0.58 * 15

    x = 8.7g

    B)

    % = 100 * 1.068 / 1.256

    % = 85%

    C)

    Not enough information given. We would need to know either how many pounds we lost or what our current weight is in order to calculate the %.
