Question:

Confusing question about fever and pain relief?

OK So our body heats up to attack the bacteria infecting us. So if we have a high temperature like 37 degrees and we take panadol so it reduces the temperature does this means it also stops our body doing its job, or does it just stop us feeling hot? So if we can handle having a mild temp would it be better not to take anything or it doesnt matter?

Hope you understand

  1. 37°C = 98.6°F, which is considered normal body temperature where I come from.  You should opt for pain relief without fever reduction. At 38° or 39° a fever reducer starts to become desirable.

  2. it will kill the germ so the body will cool down because its job is done
