Confusing situation!?

Question

My best friend is a guy, though i think I'm in love with him. How do I know if he would ever go for me? (my other best friend LIKED him and we figured out he would never go out with her, she would be completely fine with me going for him) and how do I go about telling him without scaring him? He is really nice to me and we are close. Though i wanna know what he thinks and he doesn't talk to anyone about who he likes, so there is no way of me knowing .. HELP?!

If you are close friends already then surely you could try and be totally honest with him.  What's wrong with approaching it in a lighthearted manner and saying something like..  "So, when you gonna take me out on a date then?!"  and see how he reacts.  If he says something that you consider to be rejection, just laugh it off and make a smart comment back.  At least you'll know.  But to be honest.. as I said, if you and he are already close friends, then what is so terrible in telling him that you kinda like him, and would he ever consider becoming more than friends.  What's the worst he'll say?  "No thank you?"

Say "you ever thought about what would happen if you and I hooked up?"  Something like that.  See what he says.  You should be able to figure out where he's at based on his response.

Have you ever gotten the feeling he feels the same way about you? Have you ever had one of those "moments" together?

I think the easiest way to bring it up would be while watching a movie together or something.  I'd pick a movie that wasn't too interestingg, so talking is bound to happen...  Just tell him you like him.  

If you think it would ruin your friendship, then think about what is more important.  Situations like this can sometimes make being friends awkward after.

Just tell him that you really like him. As long as your other friend doesn't care. You still would like that relationship. If you want to know, you really need to ask, or else this won't go anywhere. But don't be pushy, give him time to think, and accept his answer.

dont tell him straight out it might scare him, drop hints, flirt a little see how he reacts that should give u some idea of how he feels about moving a little forward...
