Confusion about and IQ test?

I took a couple of IQ test,and one was 147,another was 135, and the last one was 130. Why did it differ so much? Just wondering...

  1. if they are on the internet it is probably unreliable.  Try to find a legitimate source if you have to take it on the internet.


  2. My guess is that the higher one was tickle.  That one is quite easy.  I got a 138.

    Also if you re-take the same test you will tend to get higher scores of course because you already worked out some answers.

    And if some tests focus more on your aptitudes then you will get a higher score.  Like the multiple choice find the odd one out in designs including squares and rectangels or circles and elipses may be easier than the "if all muggles are dorks" type of question.

    And, being multiple choice questions there is always going to be an element of luck on ones you guessed at.

    And as many of the free tests want you to join somerthing you can never be sure whether they are making them a bit easy.

  3. Internet tests are REALLY unreliable.

    My scores have varied from 130 - 150 :S

    If you really want to find your IQ, go and see a qualified professional, or take a mensa test.

    It looks as though you have an IQ though :)
