Hello all.....My hubby and I did our taxes through eztaxreturns.com. We did a direct deposit. We should have got our Stimulus check by May 16th. It is now june 10th and no deposit! I called the irs and got automated info that we would be getting a paper check by around july 11th!??? I looked at my checking account and our tax refund said "IRS Us Treasury 220 Tax Refund". So that is direct from the IRS. Why are we getting a paper check? Someone messed up I think so now we have to wait! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

  1. If you had the fees for filing taken out of your refund you will be getting a paper check.

  2. Call the IRS at 1-800-829-0582, extension 726. This will get you to a live person. Ask if the stimulus payment has been scheduled and for when. As for the direct deposit, you normally would receive the stimulus payment the same way unless you received a refund anticipation loan, had fees deducted from the refund, or had the refund split into more than one account. If none of those are the case, it's possible that your tax preparer coded the return incorrectly.

  3. you're not going to get a paper check, you'll just get a notice saying how much you were qualified for.

  4. Don't know why you are getting it by mail.  The good things is you did qualify for the Stimulus.  So as long as you get it is great.  Just be patient you will eventually receive it.
