Question:

Confussed and Lost?

I signed the acknowledgment of paternity with the father's consent. He resides in Florida and after I told him to sign it, he told me, "you can sign it, I know he is my son". Today, it is a different story, he denies everything. He also called his son a f*& b*****d, sent me an email and had his fiancee mail me a letter as well. It seems to me that he doesn't want her to know that our son is his 3rd child, by a 3rd woman because there is no explanation as to why he is reacting this way. I walked into family court and filed to vacate paternity. I know what I did was fraud, but I took the initiative in bringing this case to court not him. Besides, if I was such a liar, I would have never given the City of Ny his mailing address and he would have never known. We have a court date on 2/11 in NYC and I heard that I need to also file for paternity to further the case into child support. Not sure if I should even bother or raise my son alone.

  1. i think u still should take him to court and he should have to pay child support and live up to his responsibilities and be a real man.  if he doesn't want anything to do with your son then so be it, his loss.  so make him pay ! i feel for u and don't know why some guys give us men a bad name !

  2. Take the case to the court so that a judgment will be rendered and the decision will be followed to the letter.
