About that cheap shot, saw it on youtube and someone down under made a comment that he couldn't really be hurt upstairs anyway. I didn't know there were others besides Graham in the NFL. Can I answer a question with a question? Has any American ever tried to make the AFL?

Yes congratulations to Saverio, he has been a good kick in the afl for the past few years I followed his career when he played for Collingwood good luck to him it is a hard profession to get into

What a cushy job!!!! Get paid to kick a ball and then sit around and do nothing - h**l he doesnt even get to hit anyone! American football sucks - should have been congrats to BEN GRAHAM when he was the first aussie rules player to make it!

Even though he played for Collingwood, glad that Saverio made it. Now there are three Aussies punting in the NFL, Rocca, Graham and McBriar. The Philadelphia owner, Lurie said many more Aussies will be here soon, everybody is learning that footy players can kick, duh. I just hope this brings some interest in the USA for Aussie rules. Sav did survive that cheap shot put on him by the guy from the Baltimore Ravens. Hope the announcers learn to say his name right, Rock-uh, not Row-cuh.

Kansas City's punter, Colquitt has marveled the Chiefs television announcers with end over end kicks (drop punt). We Yanks are paying attention to Ben Graham's style for pooch punts and coffin corner kicks (drop punt) instead of always kicking a spiral (torpedo punt, more aerodynamic).

For TH below, Don Pyke, retired premiership player for West Coast is an American citizen. His father was a college professor working in the USA when Pyke was born. That is the closest I have been able to come up with, researching the Encyclopdia of AFL Footballers.

Sanford Wheeler, a black from the US played for the Sydney Swans a few years ago (5 -6 or so).

I think he played for about two seasons - in & out of the team. He wasn't much good.
