  1. As a whole Congress will always get a lower rating than the President, after all they have certain checks on that individual, and can in some degree be held responsible for what that individual does. That sort of gets to your second question, the answer to which is a resounding NO. If you read the oath and have even the vaguest idea what the Constitution stands for then you would realize that each member of Congress would have to prosecute themselves on the basis that they are not defending the Constitution and this country. Our government, anymore, has become a domestic enemy to the Constitution, and should ideally be "restructured" so as to return to a ruling body that follows and defends the Constitution.

"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ...

And what country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."

    Thomas Jefferson 13 November 1787

  2. The people voted in a Democratic congress in 2006 because they were so dissatisfied with Bush's policies and they hoped a Democratic congress would reverse some of his reckless and incompetent actions.  But the congress has been far too spineless to do anything about the issues that the people were unhappy about.  That's why the Democrats are dissatisfied with Congress.  The Republicans, of course, are dissatisfied with Congress because it's controlled by Democrats!  So that leaves almost no one who thinks the congress has done a good job.

  3. Simple. People want congress to do preicsely what they want and no one is ever satisfied because congress can not serve the whims of all people in every jursidiction.

Bush sets policy for the entire party. Party loyalists will always side with their party.. accordingly a president's approval rating is almost always higher than the legislative branch.

  4. Because there terrible, what difference have they made for Americans except more misery, which democrats love.

  5. Because it's polling approval for congress as a WHOLE and not by party...which is why it's always lower...

here's a couple that divides it up by party...

If you ask me how I feel about congress...I would say I disapprove,...but it doesn't necessarily mean I disapprove only with Democrats, who hold a slim majority.  Same for Republicans....

Now you divide them into their respective groups and ask...who is trusted more on certain issues...you get a different picture altogether.

  6. The short answer is because Congress is controlled by liberal demoncraps.

  7. Because Congress is now led by dumb jerks like Pelosi and Reid.  Pelosi will probably get re-elected because she represents San Francisco, which you know as a city of freaks and homosexuals.  Reid probably won't get re-elected because he doesn't represent the people of Nevada.

  8. Congress has done nothing ABOUT Bush--- he has carte blanche to pursue his religious wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

All the government does anymore is to tax, tax and tax, and waste all of that money giving it away to big oil, Haliburton and useless wars.

Bush is promoting democracy abroad by eliminating it in the US.
