  1. its time for a revolution, disband congress

  2. Because they know that the oil produced offshore has to be sold on the world market and that it would have very little effect on reduceing oil prices here in the states. Leave it to the Republicans to offer fake solutions to real problems. We need a plan to eliminate ALL foreign oil imports so we won't have to continue to fight stupid wars to keep the oil flowing to the USA.

  3. Send your thank you letters in care of Pelosi and Co.!

To the above poster: An oil worker said in an interview, that oil drilled in the Dakotas could reach the gas pumps in 2-3 years... not the 10 years as most Libs would have you believe.(I would believe an oil field worker before a politician who doesn't have a clue) And even "if" it were 10 yrs.. are you so sure that in 10 yrs from now we aren't having this same discussion? Also.oil co. are not drilling in many leased land because there isn't oil there!

  4. Yea rich DUMBOCRATS!

  5. more rich people who don't care about us.

if the Democrats who shut off the cameras and the lights cared at all about their constituents they would have stuck around for the vote.

it doesn't matter how the vote turned out, just that they at least cared enough before their 5 week vacation to do their job, the one we picked them to do, and the one they get paid high dollars for.

I think if I were a voter and knew that my representatives walked out before making a decision on something that would either positively or negatively impact my life, I'd be ticked.

    wouldn't you?

I voted republican, btw.  They appear to care about us, even if their decisions may be ill-advised, at least they are trying to do something, huh?

Oh yeah, and thanks for bringing this up.  I've been waiting for this question.

  6. My feeling is they are playing politics with the election coming up.  The House is on break for the next 5 weeks.  I believe 33 seats are up for grabs in November with Pelosi being among them.  The feeling among many is to throw the bums out.  I'm all for it.  She has taken a stand on nothing other than to shut out the Republicans while protecting the president in order to make them all look bad.  I guess she didn't consider how it makes her look.

  7. What is this obsession with off shore drilling?  There are many leased parcels that are out there that have not been utilized yet.  There has to be action on those unused ones before more are approved for drilling.  What do you think is going to happen if they allowed every OIL company the right to drill where ever they wanted to drill?  Do you really think that would be a good idea?  Do you really think it would solve a d**n thing?  And if so, in just how many years do you think it will benefit "US" and to what degree?

  8. there you go, this is the "change" the libs were so happy about when the dems took control of congress

  9. Offshore drilling won't help us soon enough, maybe never.  Most of the oil we pump out of Alaska is sold to Japan now.  The U.S. is so far in debt, if we did drill offshore, we would sell that to Japan also to reduce our debt.  Our politicians have sold us down the river by allowing foreign countries to buy our land and businesses and invest in our country.
