Conkon is expected to earn the bookmakers big bucks in the Grade OR Stadium Bookmakers Super Stayers Trophy Heat 1
Odds are stacking in Conkon’s favour in the Grade OR Stadium Bookmakers Super Stayers Trophy Heat 1, which is scheduled to take place at Nottingham on 12thMarch, 2012.
The son of Flying Penske, out of Minnies Budgie, will be against Monagea Fantasy, Turibius, Coolavanny Fairy, Tanhill Rose and Hey Kiddo for £125 over 730 metres.
Trained by T. Munslow, the hound has been in terrific form. He has secured four first place finishes in last five races.
He was the race favourite in his most recent race, and it was a well deserved title as he lived up to all the hype and expectation.
He entered the race with winning odds of 5 to 4, and he was crowded in the beginning, but soon broke to the front of the pack and defeated, Imperial Boy, by a head in the Grade OR Carling Stayers Trophy, which was held at Nottingham on 5th
March, 2012.
He defeated the son of Westmead Joe, out of Dukeries Lily in 43.37 seconds.
This performance was preceded by another outstanding performance which took place at the same track on 27th February, 2012.
He defeated, Skyline Amber, by 2 ¼ lengths in 42.39 seconds in the Grade OR Stadium Bookmakers Stayers Trophy.
Tanhill Rose, daughter of Droopys Vieri, out of Denises Destiny, has been racing at Nottingham for most of her racing career. Trained by A. Stone, the b***h landed an impressive finish in third place in the Grade S2 680m flat race, where she was defeated
by the race favourite, Fire Foods Nitro, and second place winner Salacres Jamaica, on 2nd March, 2012.
She finished as a runner-up in the Grade A3 Greyhound Sporting League – Leg 2, which took place on 10th February, 2012, at Nottingham. She lost to Lemon Minnie by a  1 ¼ lengths, who finished in 30.98 seconds.
Trained by David Pruhs, Turibius has been showing a consistent record. The son of Westmead Hawk, out of Selhurst Star, finished in third place thrice in a row.
Pruhs is hoping that he will be able to break out of his consistency in this race. He was the race favourite in the Grade S1 605m flat race, but was defeated by, Betinboots, who finished in 37.75 seconds against his finishing time of 37.87 seconds
at Peterborough on 9th March, 2012.
Based on his familiarity with the track, and having the home track advantage, the odds will be stacking in favour of Conkon. He has been in excellent form, looking to add another victory to his record. The bettors will be placing their money on him
as his victory in this race is almost confirmed.
Tanhill Rose is looking to acquire a finish in second place where as Turibius might finish in third place.
