Conkon likely to win Stayers Trophy – Nottingham Preview
Conkon is determined to advance his epic success streak and add another victory to his career chart by finishing first in the William Hill Stayers Trophy at Nottingham racecourse on Monday, March 26.
The high-profile Open Race of 680m Flat distance is scheduled to start at 20:36 (GMT). The event organisers are offering £200 to the hounds who will grab top three spots.
Conkon is going to compete against Maudabawn Jenny, Turibius, Tyrur Pudsy, Mill Luciano and News Reporter.
The T. Munslow-trained fawn dog accomplished a fabulous hat-trick during February 2012. He nicely finished first in all three contests with big margins.
The veteran hound moved forward to bag a couple of consecutive victories during the first half of March.
These five epic wins in a row have hiked the dashing dog’s confidence level greatly, establishing him as a hot favourite runner for tonight’s mega showdown.
Prior to this marvellous success streak, the son of Flying Penske out of Minnies Budgie had won two races in a row in the first month of the calendar year.
Overall, the maverick hound has been winning with regular intervals since the very beginning of his career.
Conkon has as high as 95 percent chances to finish first in tonight’s race provided he runs to his best.
Out of the favourite dog’s competitors, Turibius and Tyrur Pudsy are expected to show decent runs in the race.
