Connacht U15 Open: Chin Nam Soong crushes Jon Mccreedy to claim Boy’s Singles U15 title
Chin Nam Soong, an upcoming shuttler from Ireland, showed his elevated craft on court and won the Boy’s Singles U15 title after defeating his un-seeded rival Jon Mccreedy in the final encounter of Connacht U15 Open on Sunday, December 16, in Ireland.
The second seeded Chin Nam, who showed his tremendous skills in all of his matches in the championship, maintained his superiority in the arena and took just 21 minutes to wind up the final battle in an inspiring fashion.
Chin Nam stayed fully focused and displayed his aggressive skills on court that enabled him to register a convincing victory over his lower ranked compatriot in straight games with a decent total on the board.
In contrast, the lower ranked Jon tried his level best to continue his giant killing run but failed to maintain his rhythm and eventually became a prey to his second seeded rival in straight sets.
In the first game, Chin Nam displayed his impressive skills in the arena and did not face any problem in setting up an early lead.
Chin Nam was quite comfortable in getting the bird timely and he did not encounter any complication in executing his strokes in targeted areas.
The in-form Chin Nam stayed in dictating position all the way to set up a phenomenal lead until the end of starting part.
After the one-minute interval, the second seeded Chin Nam stayed focused in the arena and remained successful in keeping a sound lead.
The positive and aggressive play of Chin Nam helped him to claim the opening game with a reasonable margin of 21-14.
In the second set, Jon worked hard to play tricky badminton and remained successful in staying close to his in-form challenger at the opening stage.
Jon stayed focused this time and he did not let Chin Nam build a strong lead until the end of opening half.
After the break, both contestants continued playing in the similar aggressive way and reached at the ending points when Chin Nam played smart badminton and managed to wrap up the set with a close 21-19 margin on the board.
Chin Nam emerged as the crown winner in a dominating fashion as he ended up the final battle in straight games by a reasonable total of 21-14 and 21-19.
