Connect To Internet Using Linksys Wireless Broadband Router?

What I Have Here I a Linksys Wireless G 2.4 GHz { 54mps } Broadband Router

**I Want To Use It To Connect To My Desktop

Could Someone Help Me By Giving Me Step by Step Instructions and NoT a Website Link On How To Do It

i HATE linksys... i have been fighting with that mf for some time now, lol but then again, i have a mac.

First you will need to subscribe to a broadband connection. If this is a dsl router this will connect to a dsl (phone line) correctly. It will NOT connect to cable. you will need to connect to it using a network cable in order to configure it. For this you will need the router manual from the manufacturer's web site, as each type has a different configuration. Once you have set up your ISP login user name and password you must test the connection using the cable. You can then set up the wireless as in the manual. you then unplug the cable and use the wireless computer's connection program to search for your router, set the encryption and connect.
