Connect a Windows 2000 Professional through phone line.?

So I have a Windows XP and we have a broadband network. (SBC Yahoo! DSL) We have wifi and all that. However, I want internet in my room and I have an old Gateway PC. Is there a certain way I can connect to the internet with a phone cable connected to my PC, and the other end to a phone line? I've tried so many times but can't figure out what to do.

You cant use a phone line. You have to use a LAN internet connection line. Its about 5 cm bigger than a regular phone line. Buy that LAN internet connection line connect it to your router to your laptop. Or just simply use WIFI.
