Is it possible to use one composite cable and split it so that the video/audio displays on two televisions? If so, please tell me what exactly I would need in order to achieve this.

  1. Composite video is specifically a 1 volt peek to peek signal. If you split it, you drop below the 1 volt and it won't work.

Here's an inexpesive distribution amplifier that will do exactly what you need: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index....

It handles composite video and audio in case you need audio.

It will distribute component video too, so you'll be able to use it on future TVs as well.

  2. To maintain the proper impedance of the video signal you will need to get a specific type of signal amplifier/distributor to function as both a replicator and distributor.

I have not seen many models for specifically composite but I have for s-video and component, as well as many digital formats.

  3. The easiest way would probably be to use a Co-ax splitter. The Co-ax would have the audio & video signal. Its a pretty cheap piece of equipment. You can pick these up at Radio Shack, Target, Walmart...you would plug the original signal into the splitter on the side labled input and then take the outputs to the two television.
