Connect computer to dvi-hdtv?

i have a sony tv with a dvi-hdtv port, but the manual says it is is not for connecting computers. i tried a dvi out from my computer to the tv, but no luck. Help!

TVs with DVI port usually support only digital DVI ports.

If your PC has only an analog DVI port, then it will not work.
