Connect computer to tv??

I have an svideo cable but my tv is older and does not have the svideo.

It does have those white, yellow, and red inputs, and it also has a cable input where you would connect it to the cable.

Also, when I hook up the svideo to my other tv that it fits in, the sound only comes from the laptop. Is there anyway to make the sound come from the tv? I hooked up a speaker to my laptop but I'm wondering if it will play from the tv.

  1. That adapter will work for the video and will be your easiest and cheapest solution.

    As far as getting the sound to come from the TV, you'll have to get a Y-splitter (3.55mm-to-RCA) that will connect from your computer's headphone jack to the TV's Audio-In ports (Red/White).  Just make sure you plug the RCA cables into the corresponding Video-in port you're using with the converter/s-video cable.

    I keep saying to myself why when they made the S Video cord how come they didnt make it so that it carries the sound with it too but it doesnt

    Looks like your in luck it has a connection for the S Video and it will plug into your tv threw a Coaxial connection also know as regualr cable wire...
