Connect directv to internet?

my directv said that they now have on demand but you have to connect it to the internet. I have a wireless router in my house and I was wondering how you can connect it to the wireless. The directv box has a usb port in the front/

If you have a Direct TV brand dvr and the USB port is live, you can just buy a USB NIC (Network Interface Card) and plug it in, then your DVR can access your wireless network.

If you have a Direct TV Tivo brand unit, they never did unlock the usb port but there is software you can buy and make it live.

I have purchased InstantCake from these guys and it worked exactly as advertised. (Tivo Software for new hard drive)  They also have networking software.
