  1. VGA connections are tricky at best.  You probably need to match the screen resolution on your computer to the screen resolution on your TV.

If possible I would use an svideo connection and route the sound through your stereo.

  2. strange that that sell a vga to component cable since vga is analog and component is digital....but anyway what resolution setting is your computer on? you will want to make sure it is on a support resolution of the TV, thru you tv menu u should also be able to adjust the VGA settings as well....

  3. Honestly, the wire itself may be faulty if you're sure that the wires are all connected correctly and all the way in. If that's not it, I'd suggest going into the resolution settings on your computer [I'd tell you how to get there, but I don't know what system you're running...] and mess with the various resolutions to see if that straightens it out. If that doesn't work, the only other thing I can tell you would be try to find someone who knows what they're talking about at a local Best Buy, Circuit City, or a computer store, and see if they've got any insight.

    Good luck!

  4. component and vga are both analog. The only digital inputs common on most tvs is DVI and HDMI

I've hooked a PC to my plasma via VGA but my plasma has the connection. I've never seen a VGA to component and wonder if it will ever work properly.

Match the resolution of your PC (as close as you can) to the native resolution of the TV.

There is one other setting on a flat panel that may be an option and MIGHT clear the blur but for the life of me I can't remember what it is for sure. I did it once on my plasma so long ago, it sharpened it up a bit.

Can't remember if it was a 'phase' option or vertical/horizontal postion option. But moving this did clear things up but they were not as blurry as you mention here.
