  1. This is a fairly common issue and it's usually caused by junk HDMI cables, but not always.

    1. Try powering everything down. Turn on your PC first. After it's done loading, turn on the TV.

    2. While the PC and TV are running, disconnect the HDMI cable from the TV, wait 10 seconds and reconnect.

    3. Replace the cable and spend more money this time. Ethereal is good, they test every cable, and Monster is overpriced, but they work too, and they're easier to find.

    4. Your TV and your 1650 are both HDCP compliant and should work fine, but there could be a defect somewhere. Try exchanging the card first, then call for service on the TV if the card replacement doesn't help.

NOTE: The pink/purple monochrome image issue has to do with poor connection, in a component or in the cable, for HDMI handshake, if memory serves, it's due to capacitance overrun. HDMI has a 400 picofarad limit for capacitance. This error will occur even with cable boxes, sat boxes and DVD players so changing your settings on your card won't help.
