Connecticut Sun, Minnesota Lynx and Atlanta Dream win – WNBA Roundup July 26, 201: Part 2
Connecticut Sun 77 – Chicago Sky 66
Chicago Sky hit 26 for 56 (46.4 percent) from the field and 11 for 15 (73.3 percent) from free throw line. Connecticut Sun, on the other hand, hit 29 for 72 (40.3 percent) from the floor and 16 for 20 (80 percent) from the line.
Sky controlled the first quarter from the beginning, leading 17-15 after one. Connecticut fought back in the second quarter though and converted the deficit into a two-point lead, 34-32, at halftime. Sun continued to play with
intensity and outscored 19-13 in the third quarter, stretching their lead to eight points, 53-45, heading into the fourth quarter
Chicago never got closer than six points the rest of the way and Connecticut walked away with a ten-point victory.
Minnesota Lynx 85 - Los Angeles Sparks 72
On Tuesday night, Seimone Augustus punctuated a team-high 22 points on a 10 for 17 shooting from the field as Minnesota Lynx beat Los Angeles Sparks 85-72 at the Target Center for their fourth straight victory. Lynx set a franchise
record forcing 25 turnovers and then converting them into 35 points.
Lindsay Whalen scored 16 points and dished out seven assists while Taj McWilliams-Franklin totalled 14 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals in the victory.
Kristi Toliver scored a game-high 28 points in the losing effort. Ebony Hoffman added 24 points, nine rebounds and three steals in the third consecutive defeat of Minnesota.
Minnesota shot 50 percent (36- for 72) from the field and limited Sparks to just 46.4 percent (26 for 56). Lynx outscored Sparks 18-4 on fast break points and 48-30 in points in the paint.
McWilliams-Franklin 10 of her points in the first half as Minnesota carried a 13-point lead, 43-30, into the locker room. The Lynx widened their lead to 15 points, 69-54, at the end of third quarter and maintained their double-digit
lead throughout the fourth quarter.
Atlanta Dream 76 - Tulsa Shock 68
At BOK Center, Angel McCoughtry scored a career-high 37 points as Atlanta Dream defeated the WNBA-worse Tulsa Shock 76-68 for their fourth consecutive victory. It was Tulsa’s tenth consecutive defeat. 
McCoughtry also added four rebounds, three steals and two blocks in the victory. She shot 11 for 22 from the field and 15 for 19 from free throw line. Coco Miller came off the bench with 12 points for Dream, who have won five of
their previous seven games.
Liz Cambage led Shock with 16 points, five rebounds and two blocks while Sheryl Swoopes ended the game with 12 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals. Tiffany Jackson recorded her third straight double-double with
a career-high 17 rebounds and 11 points.
