  1. Ive heard its great, my last ex was going to school out west where I live but transfered back to Uconn, she loves the school, its in west hartford fairly close to fairfield. Its quiet, safe, but still has a night life and community events that sounded fun.

  2. i live in Connecticut also, i go into new haven every once in a while. there is tons to do, great shops, museums, art galleries, great places to eat, especially if you like ethnic food. And also a plus, the train station is right there and only 45 minutes to grand central station! I think CT is great

  3. OK, here's the lecture first...pick the school that offers you the best opportunity to be successful in the field you want to major in...which means you will have a better opportunity to be successful with your life!!!!!!!!!

Now, then looking at the rest of "what's important"...in the New Haven area besides all the stuff that's happening at school anyway...sports, clubs, etc., you're close to great places like NYC or Boston...a train ride in either direction.  Lot's of history in that area to explore...great seashores to visit...food to die for (try Pepe's in New Haven for pizza). Believe me, you'll find more to do than you have time...after your studies that is!

  4. I live in Connecticut.. I live in the middle of nowhere, but new haven is pretty busy, and those other towns as well, like the reply above, Uconn Storrs is an excellent school, a friend of mine went there, and i lived 8 minutes away from it for a while.  New Haven is a little sketchy, but thats comparing it to Washington, Connecticut.. which is like.. a tissue compared to a news paper.. sorry thats a really poor analogy but its what came to mind at this hour of the night. if any of this is helpful great, if not, great also, good luck with the college hunt

  5. I have been to connecticut several times. My parents are from there but unfortunatly i havent been to those places.

Well good luck with your college searching!
