  1. I can see how that would be a bad Idea knowing that plasma TVs are still even at this day and agea little more prone to burn in than any other kind of technology, but as long as you set your computer to turn off the picture after 2 to 4 minutes of inactivity you should be fine. On Windows Vista this option is under right click on desktop, personalize, and screen saver.

  2. ALAN is so full of it...it is NOT GOOD to Whitewash it twice a week...he's aging the phoshors faster each and every time he does that !!  And that means he might be lucky to get 5 years out of that panel instead of 10 years...

And I know he's not an ELECTRONIC TV Tech...

WHY does everyone NEED to burn their plasmas when they have a perfect monitor and a perfect place designed for computing?

Think about it...you can't entertain on your TV when you are using it as a monitor, and you damage it too...

    That's not a win-win situation, that's 100% lose....You can replace a $300 LCD computer monitor easier than a $1200 TV display....

And just because I'm being realistic, doesn't mean I need to be "thumbed down upon"....it's people like that, that make me want to leave this place and let you burn your TV sets, rather than spend my time properly warning you ....

  3. TRUE!!!........but my pc is connected to my 42 inch plasma....it burns in while its on.....but when you turn it off...it goes away. make sure you have ISM turned on and white wash it a couple of times a week and your good to go. other people will tell you not too......they just dont know.

BUT, make sure you dont leave it on all day and night..when your not using it...turn the tv off. if you do that than you will have no problem
