  1. First, all dishwasher needs hot water. Second the easiest way to add more outlets, is to install double angle stops.

The info you will need, is whether you have cooper, cpvc, or iron pipes. That will determine what kind of angle stops you will need. Your hardware store, with the above info will be able to help you.

Next,  Washing Machines use a garden hose type connection. So a spigot type connection will be needed.

Dishwashers only need a 3/8" supply, and a washing machine needs a 1/2" supply.

  2. You can buy a really simple device from most hardware stores .... that ... actually cuts a hole in the pipe as you fix a new tap on.... ...really easy and it works ....

If my wife can do it ...supervised.....anyone can

    good luck

  3. Both good ideas. Check this "Y" piece

The self cutting tap IS a good idea IF you have room to fit it?

They do limit the flow a little but that should be OK.

They CAN go wrong when you install them so if you’re the slightest bit worried about a kitchen full of water don’t do it.

The “Y” adaptor would be easier to install, if you’re tight for room under the sink as is often the case.

A “Y” could be used with another hose (a third) you would end up with hoses all over the place but it could be done and would be easy.

PS I think I've also seen them "T" shape, might fit better in a tight spot.

  4. Both do need a cold feed but if you only have one washing machine valve you can buy a Y peice that screws onto the female thread end of the washing machine valve. Then you can add your hoses for the DW and WM. Most WM are now cold fed only

  5. In addition to the self cutting tap already mentioned you will need a 'Y' piece to split the water supply to each machine. Most DIY stores have these near where you find the tap, although they are sometimes out of stock. Try DIY stores first, if not Screwfix will have both items.

  6. get yourself off to bnq and buy plastic push fit connectors they are as simple as lego you can get the full range as you can in copper but a dam sight easyier

you will need to make a cut in your system to put a t piece in and the its childs play from there on

companies that make it are hep20 used this brand alot never had any problems it will take you longer to go to the shop than do the job
