I purchased a Yamaha 7.2 receiver with a JBL sub. The receiver has many pre-outs on the back. If I connect a 250 watt RMS/channel power amp to the receiver to drive my two front channel speakers, what will happen to my room? Will my window shatter if its 250 RMS/ch.

  1. No chance of any window breaking, it takes a severe amount of pressure to achieve that.  I saw the guys from mythbusters try to blow out the windows of a car with a custom made 60 inch subwoofer coupled to the diesel engine and even that didn't work.  You may hurt your eardrums however, or end up incarcerated due to a neighbourly complaint.

  2. If your goal is to break every windows in your house with the use of a great sound system, i think you'll need a little help. You can acquire the best sound equipments through this site http://www.trvidcom.com.au/.
