Question:

Connecting active subwoofer to stereo amplifier?

I would like to connect a passive subwoofer (Pioneer S-W90S) to my stereo amplifier (Arcam Delta 90). I have a RCA Plug cord to make the connection between LINE LEVEL OUTPUT (on subwoofer) and SUBWOOFER PREOUT (on the stereo amplifier). Unfortunately, my stereo amplifier does not have a SUBWOOFER PREOUT. Is there an alternative way to connect the subwoofer to the stereo amplifier? Thanks for your help in advance.

  1. ok if your stearo has a set of rear pre outs those will work. otherwise look for a line level converter that will tap into normal speakerwires and give you a set or preouts! walmart sells them for about 18.00. i hope i have understood your problem correctly.
