I understand that many stores have so many ceiling speakers. I also understand that they are connected to an amplifer, but how? How could there be so many connections in an amplifier for so many speakers? They may be connected in parallel, but how? Please explain it to me as simple as possible.

  1. Stores use 70volt distributed music systems where each speaker is connected from a transformer that is hooked to the main 70 volt line. You are correct they are all in parallel. A special amp drives the line which can handle that type of output.
