Connecting computer to plasma tv?

I just hooked my computer to my dell plasma tv i do get a picture from the computer but for some reason i'm not getting a sound through the TVs speakers so can someone help me on what i need as far as audio goes?

  1. If you are using a VGA, DV-I, or S-Video cable to connect your computer to your TV, then you will need a separate audio cable, since those cables don't deliver audio. As long as your computer has a headphone port, and as long as your TV has an RCA audio input, then you can get sound through your TV, by purchasing a headphone to RCA cable. Just connect it from your headphone port in your computer, to the RCA audio input in your TV.


  2. That cord is only for video.  If you want an audio feed you need to get a din plug to rca converter, then run your patch cords into your stereo
