Connecting ipod to stock bose stereo for gmc

im having a problem finding which wires are the ones to disconnect to connect my rca jacks to the back of my radio on my gmc. my manual does not give me a picture of the wires behind my stereo and telling me what they are for i just want to connect my ipod to my stereo
