Connecting my PS3 to LG surround sound?

I got my ps3 hooked up to my LG 42" (LCD, HDTV) Picture is perfect but now what im wondering is how i can get the perfect sound... how can i get the PS3 sound to come out of my LG surround sound speakers? would i have to disconnect the speakers from my tv? or Is there another way? Please answer my question with depth if you could... Or offer any other alternatives thanks ;)
