Connecting my macbook to my tv?

I want to connect my macbook to my PAL tv so view pictures and videos on that tv. Basically what cable would i need (the seems to be so many on the apple store!) and do i need any additional software?

You need this adapter:

The Mini DVI connects to your MacBook and outputs both composite RCA and S-Video (your TV will have an input for one of these)

Then you need a cable to connect the adapter to the TV (RCA or S-Video depending on the TV)

Finally for Audio you need one of these (wow, long link):

Red & white RCA's plug into the TV minijack to your MacBook's headphone out.
